Women’s World Day of Prayer 2015
Many thanks to everyone who joined us and contributed to the beautiful Women’s World Day of Prayer service written by the Women of the Bahamas. The personal ‘Footstep Response’ of each member of the congregation can be found in St John’s Church, Bridgetown and we were once again very grateful to the Mayor, Deputy and their spouses for attending and taking part.
The collection came to £200, a large portion of which was Gift Aided and is yet to be added to final total.
Join us again in 2016 to share in a service written by the Women of Cuba.

WOMEN’S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER – feedback Thank you to everyone who came to the Women’s World Day of Prayer on Friday 7th March to pray for and with the Women of Egypt. We raised £190 for the many Charities that WWDofP supports, £93 of which was gift aided and so the final total will be over £200. Next year we will be praying for and with the Women of the Bahamas (if only we could manage to have the service in situ!) – Liz
CARE GIFT ACCOUNT Individuals and churches have been amazingly generous over the Christmas period and we have been able to give over £100 each to the Drop In, the Food Bank and Christians Against Poverty. As the account is linked to the Totnes with Bridgetown main account, we have been able to claim Gift Aid on several donations.

A big “Thank You” to all the people from both churches who gave their support and donated items, those who made sure everyone in the High Street knew the event was happening, and for the helpful feedback we have received to enable us to build on our success.
Thanks too for all those who visited, bought things from the stalls, took part in the contests and generally joined in the fun in the sun.
- Above are a few photos kindly sent in by Joe King, taken as the fete started to open (click to view larger); see also the special Summer Fete gallery page with more momentos.

TRAIDCRAFT: I am pleased to tell you that the stalls at St John’s and St Mary’s have made a profit of £100. So I have sent that amount to Traidcraft Exchange which is their development arm, helping to set up new producers and guide them in the sort of goods that the West wants to buy.
- The new catalogues are available and there are some lovely things for Christmas presents. So thank you for your support and keep buying!!
