The next Bishop of Crediton is to be the Revd Dame Sarah Mullally, Canon Treasurer at Salisbury Cathedral. Bishop Robert made the announcement at a Memory Cafe held at the Station Tearooms in Crediton.
Dame Sarah will be consecrated as Bishop of Crediton in Canterbury Cathedral in July, alongside the first woman to be appointed as a diocesan bishop, the Venerable Rachel Treweek, who is to be Bishop of Gloucester.
She will then be installed in a service in Exeter Cathedral in September.

A new Director of Music has been appointed at Exeter Cathedral. Timothy Noon, who is currently the director of music at Auckland Cathedral in New Zealand will take up the role after Christmas. He succeeds Andrew Millington, who has been in the role at Exeter Cathedral for 16 years. The Dean of Exeter Cathedral, Very Rev Jonathan Draper, said:
“We are absolutely delighted that Timothy Noon and his family will be able to join us in the New Year as our Director of Music.
“Timothy comes with a wide range of experience of music at the highest level and we look forward to him helping us build on the great musical tradition we already have here.”

The purpose of the Fete is twofold: to raise much needed funds, but first and foremost to reinforce the presence of the church within the town.
WE NEED EVERYONE’S HELP TO MAKE THE FETE A SUCCESS
We are asking you for bottles for the bottle stall, raffle prizes, cakes, bric a brac, etc., so please keep putting things aside.

We now have a one-off Emergency Food Parcel Service run by Marketplace Ministries and supported by the Giving Back scheme (run through some of our Cafés and Restaurants).
