Reminder: You can now bring your food bank donations to any Sunday service at St Mary’s Church. No need to wait for the first Sunday of the month! Many thanks to everyone who donates – your help is greatly appreciated.
A message from Julian Hall: Thank you to all those who have offered to collect for Christian Aid on Friday 15th & Saturday 16th May. However, volunteers are still urgently needed for Fore Street (at the Co-op gap). Of particular importance is the 12:00-13:00 slot on Saturday 16th. This is a vitally important task. Christian Aid has already spent £50,000 on the Nepal appeal and needs funds for future projects. If you can possibly help, please let me know as soon as possible. Collectors – please see separate notice in church!

Kris Mindang has just had a hip operation and will be out of action for several weeks. If you can help during this time with washing church linen, serving coffee etc., please see Julian Hall.
Weekday Stewarding in St Mary’s Church, Totnes
If you are interested in giving an hour per week to steward in St Mary’s do come along to St Mary’s on Wednesday May 27th at 2pm when Peter Rogers will give us a guided tour and we can talk about arranging a stewarding rota.
This will be a light touch commitment because any time that you can give will be a bonus, but it would be lovely to be on hand to meet and greet the many people who pop into St Mary’s during the week.

The fete committee members have started to plan this year’s summer fete, which takes place on Saturday 1st August at St Mary’s Church. The purpose of the fete is twofold: to raise much needed funds but first and foremost to reinforce the presence of the church within the town. WE NEED EVERYONE’S HELP TO MAKE THE FETE A SUCCESS. Nearer the time we will be asking you for bottles for the bottle stall, raffle prizes, cakes, bric a brac etc. Most pressing of all at this stage, we would like to have a produce stall but have no-one to run it. This was a great success the first year. Please have a think if you, or you and others, could have a go at getting a produce stall up and running this year. Email Lynne Birch or telephone her on 01803 840259.
