The Festival will begin soon and if there are any organisations who would like to have a tree, please contact Tony Gregg asap on 01803 813885.
• the trees will be decorated on Monday 8th December and the Church will be open all day for that purpose
• there will be a Dedication Service on Tuesday 9th December at 6.30pm

Dialogue event
Friday 5th December from 8.30pm to 10.30pm
Totnes Civic Hall
An evening of dialogue with Sami Awad, CEO of Holy Land Trust, Bethlehem, Palestine, and Ben Yeger, UK representative of Combatants for Peace and director of Moving Conflicts.
One Palestinian and one Israeli share a platform and tell their personal stories of transformation from violence to non-violence and share their joint work in Palestine / Israel
This event also marks the launch of Moving Conflicts, offering myriad opportunities to transform conflict in ourselves and in relation to others.

A Moving Conflicts Workshop
Saturday 6th of December
from 10am to 2pm including shared lunch
The Mansion, Fore Street, Totnes
A workshop led by Sami Awad, CEO of Holy Land Trust, Bethlehem, Palestine, and Ben Yeger, UK representative of Combatants for Peace and director of Moving Conflicts.
Sami and Ben will create a safe space for participants to explore, through a variety creative and embodied methods, their own relationship to conflict on inner and outer levels and find ways to step into the shoes of the ‘Other’ as a means of transforming this relationship.
Sami will draw on his expansive knowledge of non-violent practice, Ben will work with Movement Medicine and Joanna Macy’s work that reconnects.
The workshop is open to everyone who is willing to take a journey of what it really means to humanize the ‘enemy’.

Hexagonal Jam JarsJAM SALES at St Mary’s Church
This Sunday sees the return of damson jam for sale along with the gooseberry jam which Joan makes.
You may remember that monies from these sales go to buying extra items for the Church. We have, for example, just bought four children’s books about Christmas which will go into the Children’s Area when we get into Advent.
Thank you for your support!
• perhaps for the first time, we will have Medlar Jelly on sale, made from the medlar trees in the Churchyard
• there are only two jars available from the produce supplied, so first come gets first choice

Totnes Food Bank logoFOOD BANK next collection is Sunday 7th December. Please leave your contributions in the box inside St Mary’s Church. Anything you bring is still very much appreciated and distributed to the really needy.
